Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete a Texas Voters account and the data stored with it. The app is published by Pappas Productions, LLC.

Most people reading this do not have an account. Using Texas Voters as a voter requires no account and no sign in. If you only browsed ballots, candidates, voting centers, deadlines, or issue explanations, there is nothing to delete. See "If you never created an account" below.

Who has an account

Accounts exist for one purpose: verified county party officials who publish voter information posts in the Messages tab. If you requested access as a county chair, cluster captain, or precinct chair, you have an account.

Delete your account in the app

Open Texas Voters.
Go to the Messages tab and tap "Are you a county party official?", or open Voter Info and tap "Political party leadership."
Sign in with your email and the six digit code we send you.
Tap the account icon in the top right of the navy header.
Tap Delete Account, then confirm.

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

Your account and sign in record.
Your access request, including your name, email address, party, role, county, and the precinct or precincts you claimed.
The reason recorded if a request of yours was denied.
Every message you published, including its title and body.
Any precinct cluster created for you, since it is named after you.
The notification record for the device you delete from.

Nothing identifying you is retained afterward. We keep no backup copy of a deleted account.

If you cannot use the app

Email [email protected] from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

If you never created an account

You may still have turned on message notifications. If you did, we store a push notification token for your device, the county and precinct you entered, and which party's updates you chose to receive. To erase all of it:

Open Texas Voters and go to the Voter Info tab.
Scroll to the notifications section.
Tap Delete my notification data.

Deleting the app also stops delivery, but tapping the control above is what removes the stored record from our servers.

Administrator accounts

The single administrator account used by Pappas Productions, LLC to review access requests cannot be deleted in the app, because doing so would lock the operator out of the review queue. It is not available to users.
